The Found Island
The process of world-building is the aesthetic arrangements of our fantasies
aisthesis and phantasia in the hypnagogic
She circles an island that is called “the lost island”. She circles the island in a boat, as a bird, and as a viewer meandering her sight across a map laid flat on a table. She is not yet tethered to the limits of her body, to the world. She circles the island simultaneously in all these ways from an undivided perception. As consciousness pours into her sleeping form in bed, she hears a vestigial voice say, “the found island”.
Two Years Later
It makes sense that after two years
you would come to my backyard as a raven
ripping apart old finch nests
in the mulberry.
Two loose nests are now on the ground,
one woven with a tea bag string.
When you were human, you protested
wars. Now you search for threads
in what has been abandoned.

Perceptions are aesthetic (aisthesis is the root of aesthetic) because they come to us in an undivided way. Indeed, it is only a fragment of reality that we perceive, but even that fragment comes to us in an overwhelmingly undivided way.1
She writes cursive and thinks her spelling may be better in this form. The cursive slows her thinking to the movements of the hand. In her last post she copied Deleuze & Guattari words, “If humans have a destiny, it is to escape the face.”
If she has a destiny, it is to re-work with the hand.
Anionic Therapy Dear birds, singing the day’s opening, I am saturated with my human face, ever-present, gazing back at me. I close my eyes to it. I am engorged with the head shot, the third-person bio, the market. I close my eyes and listen to your singing.
Trailing Ant Stitch
Ants use a variety of cues to navigate, such as sun position, polarized light patterns, visual panoramas, gradient of odors, wind direction, slope, ground texture, step-counting … and more. Indeed, the list of cues ants can utilise for navigation is probably greater than for humans. (Wystrach, 2013, para. 10)
We have multiple ways in which Being presents itself.2
Naomi Klien says on the Ezra Klien show,
I was trying to find language for a discomfort I had in myself in noticing the ways in which we’d become incredibly reactive in the communities in which I live, where we were defining ourselves against what was happening and what they were doing over there, as opposed to being guided by legible values and beliefs. (Klien, 2026)

A Year-and-a-half Ago
Your body, tucked
in the shade, is now dry.
I place three piñon seeds
in a deep wound in your trunk.
When it snows, your bowl fills up,
and when it warms, your bowl empties.
Each time I visit, I add seeds
to the hollow.
Emotion norms participate in the construction of identity categories by prescribing distinct emotional repertoires for different social positions (what women “should” feel versus what men “should” feel), and identity categories structure emotional life by making certain emotions intelligible or unintelligible, depending on who expresses them (a woman’s anger is “hysteria”; a man’s is “righteous indignation”). Understanding this mutual construction clarifies how power operates through institutions, discourse, and the intimate terrain of affective life. (Pismenny, 2026, p.16)
hyperscalers meet hyposalvers4
AI firms have appeared to prioritize speed above the physical security of data centers, supply-chain redundancy, energy efficiency and independence, political stability, even financial returns.
240 mL (8 fl oz) calendula (Calendula officinalis) flower infused oil
30 grams (1 oz) beeswax
The strait is “critical to basically every aspect of the global economy”.
Place infused oil and beeswax in a double boiler over low heat until beeswax has melted and ingredients are thoroughly combined.
“The AI supply chain is not insulated.”
Dip a clean spoon into the formula and place it in the refrigerator so the salve will cool quickly and you can determine if its consistency is what you desire. Too soft? Add a pinch more beeswax to the warm salve. Too hard? Add a little more of the infused oil.
The biggest data-center players, known as hyperscalers, are among the biggest corporations in the history of capitalism; they include Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Amazon.
While warm, pour individual portions into appropriate containers and allow to cool at room temperature. Then, put the lids on and label.
“a death spiral to zero”
Deleuze and Guattari (1994: 181) somewhat cryptically write that painting “wants to start again at zero, by constructing the percept as a minimum before the void”. To me, this invokes aniconism (and Malevich’s notion of the zero form) – for aniconism presents us with the minimum intervention to establish contact with the invisible. (Vellodi, 025, P.63)“All you can say for sure is this is a fragile and overdetermined system that must break, so it will.”
